Description
This invention is an adjustable liposuction cannula allows surgeons to change the opening of the cannula with the turn of a dial, so they can adjust on the fly without changing instruments. The concept involves two telescoping tubes. The inner tube, which contains a variety of different hole types, rotates within a similarly perforated outer tube to control the number, size, and shape of the cannula openings. The surgeon guides the rotation of the inner tube using a dial on the handle, which locks in place with a spring mechanism to prevent accidental changes. Although leading cannula manufacturers offer many different shapes and sizes of apertures, no other cannula on the market enables rapid readjustment of a single instrument.
