Anti-Alpha(v) Beta 3 mAb VF27-312 and Hybridoma Cell Line

Description

Integrins are receptors that play several important roles in the cell such as meditating cell attachment, cell signaling, cellular shape, motility, and the cell cycle. There are many different types of integrins and most cells have multiple types on their cell surface. Integrins are heterodimers composed of two different chains, called the α (alpha) and β (beta) subunits. Alpha(v)beta3 (αVβ3) is a type of integrin consisting of two components, integrin alpha V and integrin beta 3. αVβ3 is the receptor for vitronectin. αVβ3 has recently been implicated to play a role in tumor-induced angiogenesis.Monoclonal antibody VF27-312 recognizes human αVβ3.
