A Comprehensive Digital Health Solution for Postpartum Care

This invention is a mobile application for Android and iOS that supports maternal and infant health during the first year after birth. The app's primary advantage is its ability to holistically address the needs of both the birth giver and the infant by integrating metrics for both.

Description

This mobile app is a derivative of a previously designed app that focused on supporting maternal health outcomes in the first six weeks following delivery. The original structure, which includes symptom tracking and triaging for maternal morbidity/mortality risks, as well as psychosocial and social needs assessments, has been maintained. The app also connects users to local and system-based resources tailored to specific risk factors. The new version expands upon this foundation by incorporating additional content, screening tools, and messaging related to maternal health, infant health, and developmental milestones for the first 12 months after birth. The tool is designed to support earlier risk identification and intervention for both the birth giver and the infant, promoting stronger family foundations. It is described as the first tool of its kind to pair maternal and infant well-being metrics in this format.
