Description
A bioreactor system has been constructed to provide cyclic distention to two tubular tissue constructs. The luminal flow loop will provide intraluminal pressure and will have the potential to support epithelial/endothelial cell growth and differentiation through exposure to liquid or air flow. The abluminal loop will support a second, likely mesenchymal cell type. The magnitude of pressure that develops will can be controlled with the use of a flow resistor placed in line up stream and downstream of the construct.
