GlyR Alpha 1 Q266I Mutant Mouse Line

Description

This is a mutant mouse line created by gene targeting in embryonic stem cells. This knockin mouse line has a mutation that changes glutamine at position 266 to isoleucine of glycine receptor alpha 1. This mutation alters ethanol and anesthetic sensitivity of the glycine receptor. These mice are useful for investigating the role of this subunit in ethanol and anesthetic action.
