New 2',7'-Dichlorofluorescein Derivatives

Description

The inventors have synthesized novel 2', 7'-dichlorofluorescein derivatives. Some of these derivatives are very permeable toward zebrafish embryos and cultured mammalian cells and distributed homogenously. Among fluorescein derivatives, these synthetic compounds are some of the rare ones that are permeable and not localized in specific intracellular compartments. The derivatives have also exhibited unique properties to detect very low levels of palladium and platinum.
